Lights won't turn on or flicker
Possible causes include an LED driver or ballast at the end of its life, aging fixtures, or poor connections in switches or wiring.
What we checkFixtures, switches, circuit voltage
Maintenance
The lights won't turn on. A breaker keeps tripping. The earth leakage breaker has tripped. We fix electrical faults only after measuring to find the cause. Once you contact us, we move right away.

Symptoms
These are the requests we often receive from stores, factories, hospitals, apartment buildings and other facilities. There may be more than one cause. Please tell us the symptoms, and when and under what conditions they occurred.
Possible causes include an LED driver or ballast at the end of its life, aging fixtures, or poor connections in switches or wiring.
What we checkFixtures, switches, circuit voltage
Causes include drawing more than a circuit can handle (overload), short circuits and electrical leakage. Which breaker trips, and when, is the key clue.
What we checkCurrent on each circuit, connected equipment
The earth leakage breaker trips, or a leakage alarm goes off. Possible causes include deteriorated insulation in wiring or equipment, water ingress, or damaged cables.
What we checkInsulation resistance, leakage current
Possible causes include a tripped circuit breaker, a worn or burnt outlet, or loose or broken wiring.
What we checkVoltage, condition of the outlet, wiring
Common causes are a built-in battery at the end of its life, or worn lamps or fixtures. Contact us also if an inspection has flagged lights that are out.
What we checkLighting, battery, power circuit
Ask about this symptom (exit sign or emergency lights won't turn on)
Possible causes include aging or dirty detectors, installation spots with a lot of steam or dust, or reduced wiring insulation.
What we checkAround the detectors, wiring insulation
Ask about this symptom (false alarms from the automatic fire alarm system)
Possible causes include a tripped breaker or magnetic contactor in the power panel, a tripped thermal overload relay, a missing phase in the supply, or deteriorated motor insulation.
What we checkPower panel, voltage, current on each phase
"It stops now and then." "There's a burning smell." "The panel is making a noise." Just tell us what you have noticed. If there is smoke or fire, call 119 right away.
Inspection
Before swapping parts and waiting to see, we find out where and what is happening. Once we know the cause, we can choose the right fix for it.
01
Distribution boards, power panels, fixtures, wiring
We check for burn marks and discoloration, loose terminals, water, damaged cables and unusual smells.
02
Insulation tester
We measure whether circuits and equipment are still properly insulated. This is the basic step in tracing electrical leakage.
03
Tester, clamp meter
We measure whether voltage is reaching the equipment and how much current is flowing in each circuit. For power circuits, we check each phase.
04
One circuit at a time from the distribution board
We disconnect circuits and equipment one by one to narrow down where the fault is.

Repair & Renewal
We explain what we found and the likely causes: what can be fixed by replacing parts, and what is better replaced as a whole fixture or panel. We explain the work, cost and schedule for each, and start work only after you have agreed.
We also sell light fixtures, wiring devices and electrical materials. We are not tied to any one manufacturer, so we choose and arrange the fixtures that are needed.
For new installations and additions, see Services.

Case
We also handle repairs after handover of new buildings, and equipment faults in stores.

We traced the cause of electrical leakage on an escalator at a electronics retail store and repaired it.
With leakage in power equipment, we isolate the circuits, measure insulation resistance, and narrow down the point of leakage.
Flow
One of our promises is "We move right away." When you contact us, we first ask about the situation and arrange a time to visit.
By phone or form, tell us the location, the type of equipment and the symptoms. Photos of the panel or fixtures help us prepare faster.
We look, measure and isolate circuits. If a circuit has to be shut off for safety, we explain first.
We tell you the cause, the repair or replacement work, the cost and the schedule. We start work only after you have agreed.
After the work, we measure voltage and insulation resistance to confirm the fault is fixed, then report what we did.
For stores and facilities, we agree with you on the date and time of any work that requires a power outage. Our reception hours, night and holiday service, and service area are being confirmed. If it is urgent, please call us first.
FAQ
Yes. We will start by finding the cause. Please tell us when, where and what symptoms appeared. The location of the tripped breaker, and photos of the panel or fixtures, are helpful clues.
It depends on the type of equipment, the symptoms and the scope of work. After investigating on site, we tell you the work and the cost, and start only after you have agreed.
Investigation and work that do not require shutting off circuits can be done during business hours. For work that requires a power outage, we agree with you on a date and time with little impact on your business.
Based on our measurements and the condition of the fixtures or panel, we explain the work and cost of both options. Where many fixtures were installed at the same time, we can also suggest replacing them on the same schedule.
Sometimes a new battery fixes it, and sometimes it is better to replace the whole fixture. If you know the fixture model number or the details of the inspection finding, please let us know.
Our reception hours, night and holiday service, and service area are being confirmed. If it is urgent, please call us. We will ask about the situation and tell you when we can visit.
We investigate the power supply side of air conditioners and similar equipment. Mechanical systems for air conditioning, ventilation and plumbing are handled by our group company SOWA SERVICE Co., Ltd. For faults involving both electrical and mechanical systems, we work together as needed.
