KD WORK is an electrical contractor founded in Nagoya in 2015. Our construction business license is for electrical work (Aichi Governor License), and we also install communications wiring such as intercoms, LAN and telephone lines.
A building's electrics are connected to its other systems. Replace an air conditioner and it needs power; change a sales floor and the lighting and fire & life-safety systems move too. We present our work in four categories, but on real sites we take on work across categories as one package.

01 / Power
Main feeders & power幹線・動力
The foundational work that distributes power throughout a building. We install distribution boards and power panels, and run main feeders via cable racks and conduit to each floor and panel. Power supply for equipment that runs on three-phase power, such as air conditioners, ventilation fans, pumps and production equipment, also falls into this category.

02 / Lighting
Lighting & outlets照明・コンセント
Lighting for stores, offices and factories, and the outlets used every day. Our core track record is converting lighting to LED at electronics retail stores, and correcting and adding lighting to match sales floor refits. In stores that stay open, we agree with the store which circuits to shut off and when before starting work.

03 / Signal
Low-voltage & communications弱電・通信
Wiring for systems that carry signals on low-voltage power, such as intercoms, LAN, telephone, TV and public address. In new builds, finishing conduit and wiring before ceilings and walls are closed makes all the difference to the result. On a new large electronics retail store in Tokyo, we handled low-voltage work for TV, LAN, POS, telephone conduit, security cameras and intercoms, as well as the public address system.

04 / Safety
Fire & life-safety systems防災設備
Systems that help people escape and raise the alarm in a fire or power outage. When a sales floor layout changes, exit sign positions and detector placement need to be reviewed too. We update exit sign lights and automatic fire alarm systems alongside store refits and maintenance. At electronics retail stores in Aichi, Kanagawa and Mie, we replaced about 30 exit sign lights, replaced exit sign batteries, and upgraded automatic fire alarm systems (2021–2022).

Process
From temporary power
to energizing & lighting tests.仮設電気から、送電・点灯試験まで。
Electrical work on a new build starts with bringing power onto the site and ends when the lights come on. We are involved in all of it.
Site survey & planning
We check the drawings and the site, settle interfaces with other trades and the schedule, and order fixtures and materials.
Temporary power
We set up temporary distribution boards, lighting and outlets to provide power on site during construction.
Conduit & wiring
Before ceilings and walls are closed, we install conduit, cable racks and boxes, and pull the main feeder and circuit wiring.
Panels & fixtures
We install and connect distribution boards, power panels, light fixtures, wiring devices, and low-voltage and fire & life-safety equipment.
Measurement & energizing
We measure insulation and earth resistance and check circuits and voltage before energizing.
Lighting test & handover
We check that lights come on, equipment runs, and exit signs and fire alarms activate, then hand over.
For renovations and store refits, we start by surveying the existing circuits. We also take on inspection & repair after handover, and adding circuits.
Scope
Scope of services業務範囲
From selecting and supplying fixtures to installation, management and repairs after handover. We handle what comes before and after the work ourselves, too.
Sales
We sell light fixtures, wiring devices and electrical materials. We are not tied to any one dealer or manufacturer, and we propose fixtures that suit the building and how it is used.
Installation
From temporary power to conduit and wiring, installing panels and fixtures, and energizing & lighting tests. We do the installation ourselves.
Construction management
We coordinate interfaces and schedules with other trades, and manage quality, safety and the construction period. We also take on electrical work as a contractor.
Inspection & Repair
Lights that won't come on, tripping breakers, electrical leakage. We find the cause of the fault and carry out repairs or replace equipment. About inspection & repair
For jobs that need design, we work with the group's design company.

HVAC by SOWA.電気はKD、空調はSOWA。
HVAC, ventilation and plumbing are handled by SOWA SERVICE Co., Ltd., a general building services contractor (responsible for mechanical systems within the group). Work at the boundary between trades, such as power supply work when an air conditioner is replaced, proceeds with plans coordinated within the group.
