The SOWA Group's electrical work specialist

Electrical work is
where we're strong.電気工事に、強い。

We move right away and meet tight deadlines. We make no excuses on awkward sites, and we finish the details no drawing shows. We are a Nagoya electrical contractor that does the work with our own hands, from temporary power to the energizing and lighting test.

Our Promise

Four promises
we keep on site.現場で守る、4つの約束。

From the wiring inside the ceiling to checking that the lights come on, everyone who works on site keeps these four promises, on every site.

PROMISE 01

We move right away.

When you contact us, we first ask about the situation. Anything we can tell from photos or drawings we check on the spot, and we decide who can go and how the work will run before anything else.

PROMISE 02

We meet tight deadlines.

Even when the schedule is tight, we work back from the opening or handover date and reorganize our people and plan. We finish by the day we promised.

PROMISE 03

No excuses.

A cramped ceiling, an old building, no drawings. We don't blame others when a job is awkward or difficult; we investigate on site and find the answer.

PROMISE 04

We finish the details no drawing shows.

Cable routes, bundling, the direction and height of fixtures, circuit labels on the panels. We take care with the finish, right down to what the drawings don't show.

Strength

From sales floors that stay open

Reasons

Why we're strong in electrical work:
three reasons電気工事に強い、3つの理由

What we have built up in stores that stay open, factories and new-build sites.

REASON 01

Repeated work on sales floors that stay open

In renovation and maintenance work for electronics retail stores, we have handled LED lighting upgrades, adjusting and adding lights for sales floor refits, and updating exit sign lights and automatic fire alarm systems. We have done this work in 12 prefectures, from the Kanto to the Chugoku region. Before we start, we agree with the store which circuits to shut off and when.

REASON 02

We measure and check before handover

After wiring, we measure insulation resistance, earth resistance and voltage, and check the circuits and lighting before energizing and handing over. When an escalator had an earth leakage fault, we traced the cause and repaired it.

REASON 03

Electrical and HVAC together, within the group

On a new welfare facility, SOWA SERVICE handled HVAC, ventilation, plumbing and fire suppression, while we handled the electrical work. When air conditioners are replaced, the group also coordinates the power supply work so everything runs to one schedule.

  1. From Start to Light

    What goes into
    turning on a light?灯りがつくまでに、何があるだろう。

From the temporary work that brings power to the site to the energizing and lighting test. Let's follow, step by step, the work that goes on inside ceilings and walls.

  2. 01Temporary power

First, bring power to the site

We set up a temporary distribution board and provide lighting and outlets for the construction work.

  3. 02Main feeders & cable racks

A path for power inside the ceiling

We hang cable racks from suspension bolts and run the main feeders to the distribution boards.

  4. 03Wiring & boxes

Split the circuits, run them to the boxes

From the racks, we split off the circuits for lights, switches and outlets and run the wires to each box.

  5. 04Wiring the distribution board

A board anyone can read at a glance

We connect each circuit to its breaker and label the board so it is clear where every circuit goes.

  6. 05Installing fixtures

Ceilings go up, fixtures go in

We install and wire light fixtures, switches, outlets and exit sign lights.

  7. 06Measurement

    Measure, then confirm

We measure the insulation resistance of each circuit with an insulation tester, and check the earth (ground) resistance as well.

  8. 07Energizing & lighting test

Power on. The moment the lights come on

After checking the circuits, we energize the system, confirm that the lights turn on, the equipment runs, and the exit sign lights and automatic fire alarm system work, and then hand over the building.

After handover, we also take on inspection & repair and additional circuits. For work that requires design, we work with our group's design company.

People / Recruit

Work that, when it is done,
makes you think
"That went well."完成したとき、「良かった」と思える工事を。

Because we are involved from temporary power through to the energizing & lighting test, we get to share the moment the lights come on. Work that you yourself can look at and think "That went well." We are looking for electricians to join us, and for partner contractors to build sites with us.
